Why Visit Siargao?

Siargao is the country's tear-drop-shaped surf island — the world-class Cloud 9 right-hander, mangrove forests, hidden lagoons, rock pools that fill at high tide, and General Luna town: a chilled-out grid of surf shops, smoothie bowl cafes and bamboo bungalows. Super-typhoon Odette hit hard in 2021 but Siargao has rebuilt.

Best time: September-November for the biggest swell. April-October is the surf season generally. May is a sweet spot — warm, dry, smaller crowds.

Safety

Siargao safety: Very safe and friendly. Watch ocean conditions if you're a beginner surfer — Cloud 9 is for intermediates+. Habal-habal (motorbike taxis) are normal but ride carefully.
